Let’s Talk About It: From being a woman in the outdoors to what to expect on the water—bring your questions and stories.
Fly Fishing Fundamentals: Gear, flies, rods, fly boxes, knots—yes, all the good stuff.
Casting Practice: Hands-on instruction so you feel solid with your cast before hitting the river.
Fly Shop Field Trip: Learn how to read the fishing report board and navigate the shop like a local.
River Readiness: How to read water, basic entomology (aka bug stuff), and best practices for fish handling.
Time on the Water: We’ll fish the Yellowstone together and apply everything you've learned (weather & river levels permitting).

You will need a Montana Fishing license and conservation stamp. You can purchase these online at https://ols.fwp.mt.gov/ or you can get them the day of the event at Yellowstone Angler.

Ripple is a community-driven collective founded to equip women through skill-building, personal wellness, and meaningful connections. Our offerings include outdoor education courses led by women for women, tools and resources to support your pursuits, and a membership platform for shared learning and collaboration. From forums and packing list archives to film festivals, campouts, and vendor fairs, Ripple creates space for women to grow, connect, and find renewal—both in nature and within themselves.
