Ladies Who Cast: Level 2

Join us for our Level 2 fly-fishing clinic designed to increase your fly fishing knowledge and skills for a day on the river! We will review the basic skills that you learned in 101 like knots, gear, flies and reading the water. Other topics we will cover include fish fighting, netting, and handling, conservation, ethics, and much more! This class is intended for those who have taken the Ladies Who Cast Level 1 class or who have fly fishing experience and want to expand their skills. Day 1 Starts at the fly shop where we will review the basic skills that you learned in 101 like knots, gear, flies and casting. We will wrap up the evening by grilling fish tacos and having a potluck. Please bring a dish for the potluck. Drinks, paperware, and plasticware will be provided. Day 2 will start with a fun challenge at the fly shop, but enough about that - it's a surprise! From there we will go to the river and spend the rest of the day fishing and honing your angling skills. Fly fishing social: We will wrap up the weekend with a no host social at Neptune's Brewery in Livingston for all ladies interested in fly fishing. Don’t have the gear? We’ve partnered with George Anderson’s Yellowstone Angler for free rentals! All you need is a Montana fishing license and conservation stamp. If you have gear, please bring it. Dates: Friday 6:00 PM-8:30 PM, Saturday9:00 AM-4:00 PM. **You will need a Montana Fishing license and conservation stamp. You can purchase these online at https://ols.fwp.mt.gov/ or you can just get them the day of the event at Yellowstone Angler. Tickets are limited. Due to the small scale nature of this event, registration is non-refundable.
