Join us deep in the Bob Marshall Wilderness for a women’s-only retreat that blends wild adventure with soul-nourishing rest. Over four days and three nights, we’ll soak up the magic of the backcountry—hiking, fishing, floating the river, and swapping stories under the stars. You'll stay in cozy log cabins with two beds per cabin and a private bathroom with a toilet and shower. All meals, lodging, and activities are included—just pack your basics, and we’ll take care of the rest. 🏕️ What to Expect Backcountry Accommodations Enjoy 4 days/3 nights at Montana Wilderness Lodge, tucked away near the South Fork of the Flathead River. Each cabin (double occupancy) includes beds, bedding, a bathroom, and a hot shower. Rustic comfort with wilderness charm. All Meals Included We’ll keep you well-fed and energized with three hearty meals a day—starting with dinner on Thursday and ending with lunch on Sunday—plus plenty of snacks to keep you going between adventures. Daily Outdoor Adventures We’re making the most of this stunning location with a full lineup of optional activities: • Hike to waterfalls 🌲 • Fish the river or nearby creeks 🎣 • Float, swim, and kayak 💦 • Help wrangle horses and mules at sunrise 🐴 Campfire Evenings Each night we’ll gather around the fire with charcuterie, drinks, s’mores, and shared stories under Montana’s wide-open sky. Time for You Prefer a slower pace? Read your book on the lodge deck, wander the trails, or nap in your hammock. August 11 meet in Columbia Falls at 4:00 pm. Arrive at the Lodge at 6:00 pm. Get settled in our cabins and get to know each other. 7:00 dinner is served

August 12 & 13 Our days will be filled with adventure - fishing, floating, and hiking

August 14 8:00 am Breakfast. 10:00 pack up and head home.

Experience the Untamed Beauty of the Bob Marshall Wilderness Nestled deep within the renowned Bob Marshall Wilderness—affectionately known as "The Bob"—Montana Wilderness Lodge & Outfitting offers an authentic escape into one of America's most pristine and rugged landscapes. As seasoned outfitters, we provide guests with unparalleled access to over a million acres of untouched wilderness, ensuring an adventure that resonates with both thrill-seekers and nature enthusiasts alike.
What to Bring
We’ll provide the gear for group activities—just bring your personal essentials!

🧥 Clothing

(Plan for warm days, cool nights, and possible rain)

  • Lightweight long-sleeve shirts (sun and bug protection)
  • T-shirts or tank tops (quick-dry recommended)
  • Fleece or insulated jacket
  • Waterproof rain jacket
  • Comfortable hiking pants or leggings
  • Shorts
  • Sleepwear (warm enough for mountain temps)
  • Underwear and sports bras
  • Wool or synthetic socks (at least 3 pairs)
  • Swimsuit
  • Hat with brim (sun protection)
  • Warm beanie (nights can get chilly!)
  • Lightweight gloves (optional but nice in the morning)

👟 Footwear

  • Broken-in hiking boots or trail shoes
  • Camp shoes or sandals (something easy to slip on)
  • Water shoes (for floating/kayaking)

🎒 Gear & Personal Items

  • Daypack (comfortable for hikes)
  • Water bottles (at least 2 liters total capacity)
  • Headlamp or flashlight (with extra batteries)
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen & lip balm with SPF
  • Bug spray (or Picaridin wipes)
  • Book, journal, or deck of cards
  • Hammock (optional but awesome)
  • Quick-dry towel
  • Camera or phone (service will be limited—enjoy the disconnect!)
  • Portable charger or power bank (solar works great!)

🧼 Toiletries

  • Toothbrush & toothpaste
  • Hairbrush/comb & hair ties
  • Face wipes or biodegradable soap
  • Moisturizer/lotion (it gets dry out there!)
  • Deodorant
  • Medications (personal + any allergy needs)
  • Small personal first aid kit (blister care, ibuprofen, etc.)
  • Menstrual products (even if you don’t expect to need them)

  • Ear plugs & eye mask (for light sleepers)
  • Travel pillow or stuff sack filled with clothes
  • Lightweight blanket or shawl
  • Your favorite trail snacks
